A Day with the Letter "E"!

Today was an amazing day with the letter "E"! We learned so many fun things and got to do so many fun activities! We started off with circle time where we sang our "Welcome" song and took attendance.

We said the Pledge of Allegiance where we got through the ENTIRE thing! They did so good!

Zeegan was our "Special Person" today! Her favorite color is pink and her favorite foods are chicken nuggets and yogurt! Yum!

Lexi helped us read about the Mixed Up Alphabet.

Then we had a special visit from Mr. Jon, who fits people for hearing aids for a profession. So he knows all about Ears! We all got to see the inside of our own ears through a tiny camera he put in our ears and looked at on the computer! Way neat! See that shiny white spot? That is Robby's ear drum! Cool!

Oh! That tickles too!

While we were taking turns looking in our ears, we all glued beans on our Big E's and Little e's.

We also got to color a fun diagram of our ears.

After exploring our ears, we moved onto one of our other cool things that start with the letter "E"! Our Eyes! Miss Laura had made everyone fun binoculars out of TP rolls and we went on a short walk to see what we could find. We found grass, cars, and our friends!

Robby was such a trooper with his big boot!

Then it was on to snack time! It was hard to find snacks that started with the letter "E", so we had Elephants (from a circus animals pack), bananas with a cute elephant cupcake topper, and goldfish in a treat bag with big Eyes on it! Fun!

Not pictured were some of our other fun games we played exploring listening with our Ears and looking with our Eyes! We play hide & seek where the person hiding had some jingle bells. We all had to listen very carefully with our Ears in order to find where they were hiding! Then we played "Eye" Spy! They had fun using their binoculars again to find what everybody spied!

It was a very fun day exploring the letter E with a couple of our amazing senses!

The Letter D!

Another fun day at preschool! While we waited for everyone to arrive the kids rolled the dice and found the number they rolled on the wall.  When they would find the number they would stand by it.

Rolling...

and rolling...
While we sang the welcome song they passed a ball around and whoever had the ball that is the name we would sing.  It was really fun!  The kids liked throwing the ball.
 Passing...
 passing...
and more passing!
Whooo, whooo is here today?  Time for attendance.  Everyone made it!
 Lexi did the pledge.
We sang a song to get some wiggles out.  Once There Was a Snowman.
Melting, melting...
Levi was the spotlight.  Love his face here.
Poor little Robby was the rules guy. I hope his toe heals quickly.
On to painting.  They traced the letter D with paint and then they painted a pretty picture.
 Still painting
 and painting
more painting.  They all had so much fun painting!
Look at that work of art! Way to go Robby!
 More painting.
Levi painted a masterpiece as well!
 Helping our friends.
Getting ready for a puppet show.
We learned about a day from Mr. Parrot.
 Listening intently.
We wake up to the sun.
We go to sleep to the moon.
We wake up the next day to the sun again.
 Time for a wiggles song!!
Stomp, Stomp, Stomp our sillies out,
Yawn, yawn, yawn our sleepy's out

Clap, clap, clap our crazies out!

Time for the days of the week!  We learned about days!  Yesterday, today, and tomorrow!
They had to match their day to the day on the top.

 They did awesome!
 Snack time!!
 Yummy!
They enjoyed apples for A, balls for B, carrots for c, donuts for D!  Poor Robby couldn't eat any snacks today, but he played dominoes instead.

Playtime!  Puppet shows

 Dominoes,
 and cars!

Thanks Jenny!  You did an awesome job!
