The Letter B

Today we learned about the Letter B!

Circle time started out great!

We had all of our things ready to go, and the kids were excited!

Carmen was our special person and we highlighted her during Circle Time.

We also sang our VIP song, and learned about how we are all "Very Important People!"

After Circle Time, we were ready to learn about Letter B!

I put up a sheet to act as a barrier and start our special treasure hunt.

I hid 9 items that started with the letter B and each child took a turn going into the special room to look for an item.

After the child found an item, we had a "B" activity/learning experience.

We also crossed it off our treasure list.

They did great!

For example, one B item was "Baby."

We listened to a song about babies, and each child got to rock their baby.

Then for another B activity, we went on a Bear Hunt.

We did a fun rhyme to music and the kids loved it.

Here's Robby looking for his B item.

He found a picture of two brothers.

We listened to another song about brothers, and then Bob asked everyone in the circle who had a brother, one at a time.

Another B item was "Bridge."

We played London Bridge. It was good to mix up active games with sitting still activities.

All smiles.

Another B activity was bubbles. Always a hit.

Then to go along with the treasure theme, we each put a coin in our treasure box.

Here is our treasure bin with our B items.

Then we colored a sheet with all 9 items that we found.

Ball snacks of puffed cereal and apples to review A...

Then we played outside for a little.

The boys loved the swings.

The girls wanted to come inside and do playdough.

Then we read a book about Big Bad Bruce, and had a dance party!

Such a fun day!
