G is for Ghost

On Thursday we began by playing with the parking garage posters.  The spotlight was on Jerry, he brought an antique toy motorcycle his grandpa gave him. After opening exercises Miss Juli read "Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs", it was a cute and clever book. We then painted rocks so we could make rock dinosaurs. The paint didn't dry in time to glue the foam tails and spikes on them. The kids didn't mind though and had a lot of fun painting the rocks and cutting the foam. I was impressed by how little paint got onto clothing.

We then headed inside to play DON'T EAT GOLDILOCKS!!! This game was once again a huge hit among them.  They would probably play this all day if we let them.

We then watched a short music video of ten little ghosts. The song goes:
1 little, 2 little, 3 little ghosts,
4 little, 5 little, 6 little ghosts,
7 little, 8 little. 9 little ghosts
10 ghosts in a row
"Boo" says the ghost and then they disappear
"Boo" says the ghost and then they disappear
"Boo" says the ghost and then they disappear
Halloween is here

Next we headed outside to make ghosts, and we counted to ten and said "BOO!!" After playing with the ghosts we went back inside to play Halloween Bingo. Most of the kids did good and played well. We then headed outside to decorate ghost cookies. The kids were given sprinkles and chocolate chips to decorate with. They all had fun and really enjoyed decorating and eating their cookies. We finished the day with free time where they played on the bounce house.
